OS Neutral Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak

I recently purchased it on sale on Steam (Mac/PC), it's a good quality RTS game with nice visuals but...

I don't like that I can't pause and issue commands while paused, like I could in Homeworld. This makes situational awareness and staying organized more of a challenge while you are dying.

Note- hitting Escape does not pause the game. You have to hit the Homeworld icon on the upper left of the screen to pause the game.
