A BluRay drive as standard for Macbook Pro, iMac, Mac mini and Mac Pro, but I think this would be good for Apple TV and iTunes Movies.

i don't think BluRay drive will ever be in Macs. I think they are going way from optical drives.

I wonder what a 15" MBA will retail at. $1699? or will it just completely replace the 15" MBP...

I think the next redesign of the MBP line will look more macbook air-ish.... So they will probably wait till then... Plus this event is usually iOS devices related.

not the Mac Pro users. Still large amount of Post Production studios use MP's and delivering daily cuts/changes/previews on dvd's is widely used. Not to mention to be able to backup 50gigs on a blu-ray disc is great to have. Higher chance of a HDD failing during transportation than an optical media.

obviously, if one does not need such optical media for work will never understand the importance of it.
