I've had my new PB for a week and am glad that I'm not the only one who noticed the lines (for a while I thought I was just blind or seeing things!). I called Apple's support line and, at first, the woman claimed she knew what type of problem it was but that she had not heard of it before. After a brief hold, she remarked, "oh, yes, I think I heard about this earlier today." Turns out, after holding some more, she said Apple is aware of the problem and is offering a repair, and possibly exchage, program to address it. She said the easiest way to do this is to visit an Apple Store. Just thought I'd share that with everyone. Feel free to reference my story as your own so you don't get the runaround at the store or on the phone!
