And Sony think we're a lesser market? We have just 500k less sold than America - land of the gamers! Insania.
I shake my hand with the DS. The little machine that could, the little machine with Nintendo's new ideology, makes you wonder on where the Wii is going, doesn't it?

I still pull out the 'ol DS and play Brain Training occasionally and a few of my old GBA games. I got mine right after they were first released

I think it's just a play on that idiom.

just yesterday i bought myself my first gameboy advance game to play it in my DS:
    Castlevania: Double Pack
(with "Harmony of Dissonance" and "Aria of Sorrow")
for 20 bucks as a complete impulse buy in the supermarket together with a bag of oranges, tomatoes, bread and toothpaste ... i don't remember last time i made such an impulse buy for a console

You won't regret, they are amazing games.

It also has to do with the games. This December I'm definitely getting FFIII for the DS. And I've enjoyed the New Super Mario Bros. more than any other game in recent history. Mario Kart online is also a blast.
I do have to admit that I still play Meteos more than any other game on the DS... this thing is like crack!

Wow. I love how the DS, after two years, has outsold the XBox and GameCube's entire lifespans.

I think the Wii being out there will only enhance DS sales. Not due to some "halo effect," but rather because of the free demoes from WiiConnect24 (when are they suppose to start, anyway?). If people see many free demoes offered, they are more likely to get one. Also, all the free demoes (which are normally very hard to get for a handheld) will mean more game purchases. More game purchases = more developers making games for it = more DS's being sold.
