Hotmail Not Syncing with iPhone

My hotmail mail account stopped syncing on my iphone. It use to work and now it wont get messages. It works on my ipad fine. Ive deleted and re added the account many times now. When I go into the account on my ipad it looks different even though I set it up the same way. Whats going on?

And I'd also like to know how to add this email to the Mac Os Email client thanks

so I figured out how to add it to the mac app but still in wont pull down the current messages on the server. Any ideas

When you set up the account are you choosing Hotmail or Exchange? You should choose Exchange.

all set! Had to setup as Exchange account, dont remember doing that on my iPad but I guess I did! Thanks Everyone!

Yes I was just choosing hotmail because I thought thats what I did on my iPad but I guess I didnt. thanks!
