With the release of iPhone OS 3.0 in-app purchases will be supported. Can anyone point me to some information about how this will be implemented?
Specifically, I'd like to have our iPhone game allow users to purchase additional characters or levels from within the game. We'd be regularly developing new content after the game's release, so it's impossible to include it all in the game from the beginning and then just turn it on when the user makes the purchase.
When the user makes an in-app purchase is the app able to automatically download the newly purchased app data from the app store? Any information you can provide or guides on this that you can point me to would be great.
