Okay, I was browsing to War3Pub.net and I want to download a Warcraft III replay, when I clicked it, it loaded up with full of codes... "not html codes, the codes of the .w3c file" When i clicked save to disk, it only save me the .php file. So how can I save the .w3c file?

If you're getting the file contents rather than the file itself, then the server's probably not configured properly. Try downloading the .php and renaming it to .w3c and see what happens.

Wes: did you read my post carefully? I already tried that... that's why I post the question... man!

Thank, but the .php file is a link, all i can see is coding... and, is not about the server, because I just tried on an IE on XP system, download without any issues, is something to do with the browser!

I just tried downloading from that site and I'm having the same problem. I still think it's the server, it's telling Safari that the file is ASCII, so Safari's downloading it as ASCII. IE, on the other hand, seems to ignore what the server says

Try doing a File->Save As once it's finished loading, but I doubt that'll work. I tried downloading the file using Download Wizard, and found it's identical to the Save As method.

    Hope this helps

For future reference: There are two ways a web browser can learn what type of file a downloadable file is: the MIME type that the web server reports and the extension of the filename in the URL (if any). Sometimes these conflict, in which case you'll find one web browser behaving one way and another web browser behaving another way. That's why you sometimes see a page of codes displayed when you try to download a file. Since you can't fix the web server, you can usually solve the problem by selecting Control-click->Download Link to Disk (or the equivalent in your web browser) instead of clicking the download link directly.

Doctor Q? May be you should go to the link that I posted and try "Download to the disk" and see what happen...

People must be thinking I am stupid! Don't post if you don't know how to resolve it! I don't care about theories, okay!

How odd. I've never seen somebody post a question and then complain when people offer their help. There is no way to guess your level of knowledge a priori and you wouldn't be considered "stupid" whether you knew a little or a lot about the subject at hand. We all learn from each other - that's why we have a help forum here. If you had posted an actual URL instead of a rough description, it would have been easier to help you. And keep in mind that posting background details about a problem helps all the people who search these forums when they have a similar problem.

I was not intended to complained but, your reply really meant nothing to us, when we already tried "Download Link to Disk" And how does the theories exactly going to help us? Like you say, this is a forum to help each other... i dont care about those theroes behind it... I want to know how to download the replay.
