I tried to upgrade RAM myself but one of the screws stripped despite my very skilled brother wielding the exact screw driver Apple said to use. So I am stuck with single 1 GB stick unless I have Apple upgrade it. Now if I was to--and this may be a dumb/simple question--how do I do it? I dont have Apple Care but can I just call up an Apple Store and schedule a time to have RAM installed? Do I go through Apple Corporate?

Also, is it possible to upgrade the hard drive? I have a 100GB 7200RPM and if they release faster drives in the bigger sizes I probably will want to upgrade, since mine is nearly full.

    Thanks for any help!

Yeah, you can upgrade the hard drive, it's not too hard. There are good guides at for that. You can get up to 160GB at 5400rpm, and 200GB at 4200rpm as of right now, IIRC. I think 100GB is as big as 7200rpm drives go.

For the RAM, I would call the Apple Store nearest you and see when they can fit you in!
