Does anyone know how to get permanent marker off? My roommate was joking around and got a spec of dot on the lit up apple and of course, it bugs me. I'd try nail polish remover, but don't know how safe it is for the surface of the pb.

I would say use the nail polish remover or rubbing alcohol with a Q-Tip.

If you are worried it might scar it you might want to try the nail polish remover on a corner or hidden spot first...

Try useing Kerosene if it doesnt work with the nail polish remover.. that stuff will get anything out..

Someone recently showed me a nifty trick with a dry erase board. You can write all over it with a permanent marker and then cover that permanent parker with dry erase marker and they both erase completely. Dunno if it would work on that material though. Just a thought. good luck

I would be VERY careful about using any of those chemicals on plastic! It will probably melt it!!!

that's what I was worried about. I have some iClean at home, I think I'm going to try that first. Hopefully that would work. But I doubt it. If not, then I hope nail polish remover isn't too harsh for the plastic. :(

there are a few products - called Goof-Off and Oops - that are good for removing one thing from another. Generally they leave the initial surface intact, and just remove the stuff you want gone.

Plain old isopropyl alcohol works really well on permanent marker, and it behaves well around most plastics.

that's a good trick, it works but I wouldn't try on a mac, but normally it works on a board.
