I agree with the quit smoking comment. And I never smoked once.

A bit of practice sitting on my chair, and I got 2:10

Edit: Zenith, I swear I was not purposely trying to beat your time. I actually pressed the reply button before you posted and I sat and kept trying. Then I posted. :D

To kill brain cells and die faster... Why else would we do anything?

The most I've ever held it was somewhere in three minutes, but that was a rare occasion, I can normally hit somewhere in the two minute range.

    Random......

The header wasn't kidding when it said "random discussions about anything." Anyway, I've hit somewhere around 1min 20 secs.

One Minute 27 sec. I would go into why it is so low, but I am a computer geek, why would you need more info? ;)

2 min 15 secs when I tried just then.

I think I have done 2:40 before, though.

I've done 2min 10sec underwater. Don't know on dry land, though, and right now I'm too sleepy to try...

    What brought on the question?

1:03 seconds. Used to be able to do over a minute and a half, and swim the standard pool length and then some underwater, but probably not anymore.

    EDIT: 1:20 now

Even though I am decently fit I have no lunch capacity.

    Land - 1:05
    Water - 1:45

    yeah I dived for 4 years :)

    2 min 24 seconds.

    set in my bathtub.

Timed with the timer on my watch.

I can't get even close to that anymore. (Probably around 1:20 or something.)

Quit diving about 4 years ago and I haven't swam but probably 5 times since I quit.

But we used to have breath holding competitions in diving class. Fun times... I sucked compared to everyone else though. I was young though, so I have an excuse...

But the breath holding competitions were not near as amazing as the hand stand competitions.

I don't know if any of y'all have heard of matt scoggin, but he is a reaaaaaaaally good diver, and he did the longest handstand I've ever seen. I don't remember how long ago this was, but it was during a handstand contest and he and one of the coaches were being headstrong and kept their handstands up for a long ass time. I just remember that matt won.

oh well..... I have school tomorrow and it is almost 2:00.

    Buenos noches.

Hah. No problem. I knew my time would've been "beaten" shortly after posting. Btw, I've never smoked too. ;)
