No - everyone will buy it. They can just rerelease XP with a different box, add a feature, call it a new OS, and sell it. (Basically what their doing now).

They still make money either way.

Plus, MS stock went WAY up.

But they MUST keep the little search doggy in their "new feature(s)". But I know you know that.

Well, I had this really long reply, but I accidentially closed the tab, so here's the summary:

    - The list of cut features is not correct.
    - Cedega sucks.
    - As long as the game I love come out for Windows I have no choice but to use Windows.
    - I like Linux and OS X.
    - I don't like Windows.
    - I hate dualbooting.
    - Windows isn't going anywhere, whether you like it or not.

I also think the battery on my keyboard is failing... I had to press the key five times to get the 'O' in OS X.

I just can't wait for them to port that gaming software over to mac. Like they said it would be changed overnight.

Tell me more about Cedega. I did a quick Google search, read a review, and it sounded like it does alright.

Anyways, the article has a bit of too much wishful thinking and bold assumptions. Not the best as far as facts.

HE talks about canceling Vista soemthing MS HAS done before( before my time)

    * Windows Nashville (windows 96) (cancelled) (Became windows 95B.)
    * 1997-1998 - Cairo (a "true object-oriented OS") planned after Windows NT; (Became Windows NT 4)
    * 1999 December - Windows Neptune was sent out to beta testers but was never released. Should have been a consumer version (i.e. home edition) of Windows 2000.

Good read. Somewhat subjective yet plausible events that could kill big ol' Microsoft.
