I think the first time I actually went to an orchard and picked my own, I might have eaten 1 for every 5 I picked.

Haven't had a whole apple in a while though, the last apple bits I had were in a pie :D

I haven't had apples in a while. My parents usually do the shopping and pick up bananas for a fruit, if any, at all.

I'm usually unpredictable as to what fruit I'll eat at any one time. But, during the summer, I did enjoy my last taste of sweetness. :p

    Ironic

This is so ironic. Although I love and use Apple Computers, I really do have an allergy against apples. That is, if they are in their natural form.

The fruit acid makes my mouth area numb and itching... funny, hm?

As long as the apples are in a pie or something like that, I don´t have the problem anymore...

this may show my age, but i remember when silicon valley was orchards... literally

...not 2600-2800 high tech companies in san jose alone!

things grew so fast here that nobody ever thought about city planning and we have the ungliest set of buildings and warehouses in the world...oh well...at least it's profitable...sometimes:p

I go for Gala, Fuji and Yellow Delicious, myself...

Nothing like a crisp, sweet apple. None of that mealy, wax-covered red delicious junk for me.

I am very picky about apples. I will not eat red delisciouses
unless they are cut up and they don't have the skin. I will eat
most other kinds with the peel, but I prefer them cut up. But I
like to eat sour apples whole. I am weird like that though :D.

You know what I hate? Those big cosmetically perfect apples you buy in the supermarket and they taste like nothing but water. Damn I hate that. I want an apple to taste like an apple, not waterlogged with just a hint of apple. And nothing is worse than a mushy apple when you crave that crisp snap and crunch.

I'm not about to disagree with such a well thought out argument for weirdness.

The development where my parents bought a house in SJ back in 1961...Tropicana Village, I think, was a sugar beet field prior to that. Of course, now, it's on the bad side of town. :D

Most Apples are good and when we lived in the midwest, we went out to the orchards on Sunday to sample the cider and new apples. :)
