I am thinking about selling my mac set up to upgrade to something better, but i do not know how much i could possibly get for my current set up. I was just wondering what people thought i could get for this set up.

1.42 ghz mac mini
upgraded to 1gb RAM
80 gig HD
combo drive
etc
along with an apple keyboard ($29 origionally)
also a dell 2005 fpw (799 retail, but they go on ebay for like 450)

anyone think it would be worth upgrading to a new iMac?

Hmm, I don't know, but I think you may actually get $800 or more for that set-up. You will get that price on e-Bay, but probably not here. I just bought a 1.25 mini with only 256 RAM from e-Bay and I watched them go for about $375. So yours with 1 gig of RAM, the 1.42, and all of those extras should go for quite a bit more. That is just my guess, but it is a pretty good system with a nice display.

Here is one that is on e-Bay now. It has AirPort and BT along with a Super Drive, but it only has a HP 17" LCD. So, I would consider it a little better than yours. http://cgi.ebay.com/Mac-Mini-1-42-1GB-80GB-17-Monitor-BT-Super-drive_W0QQitemZ8748266381QQcategoryZ114190QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

That being said ... if your monitor sells on e-Bay for over $400 and the mini probably would also, I wonder if you could get more by selling this individually? Just a thought, but it is more of a hassle.

On that topic, what do you guys think I would get for my setup? I'm not looking to sell it right now, but I am interested in approx eBay or resale value.

first gen 1.6ghz G5 Powermac, upgraded to 1 gig RAM (taking up 4 slots), built to order added Radeon 9600, installed with a PCI card for more USB 2.0 inputs on the back. Plus all of the software discs that came with the system and iLife 06.

I would probably hold on to my Dell as it is such a great monitor.

I'd say $800-$850 for that setup.
Supergod, you'd best make your own thread for that. Put it as a 'feeler' (I think that's it) in marketplace.
