I have been offered a 20" G5 iMac with the following specs:

250 gig drive, 2 gig of RAM. 2Ghz, Wired White Keyboard and Wired Mouse. (it's the model before the iSight models)

I've been asked what I'd offer, but I'm really not sure. What's it worth?

    Is £300 a good price?

(sorry if this is the wrong place to post this)

That's a pretty fair price ($584 USD) without a monitor. Which OS X comes with it? Do you have access to the start-up discs? Beyond that, I would say that's a strong starting point.

    Mac2sell says £500 !

Seems a lot - if it had been a 17 inch G5 iMac I would have said £200-250.

£300 seems a fair price - but do you really want a G5 with no isight ??

    Thanks :)
Yeah it has its built in monitor :)
I think it comes with the original OSX discs but I already have a Tiger disc that I used for my MBP before I decided to sell that.

It's for my 16 year old brother for christmas (forward planning or what??? lol).
I used to have the same computer before I started uni (just before intel imacs came out), and reluctantly sold it when I got accepted on an IT degree.

I might end up using it between now and christmas (while waiting for a new Mac Pro but not sure yet)

In the UK the prices of PPC Macs are substantially higher.

Try to knock them down to £275. Something seems better about that. You might then be able to salvage some cash from it when it gets put on ebay ;)
