I know... Kind of a bland thread, but I'm bored out of my mind.

    How tall are you?

    I'm 14... 6 feet and 4 inches.

    I'm 6' 4" too :)

But I'm 25 (although, since we're now in January on this side of the pond, I can start the countdown to my 26th birthday on the 28th Jan!)

[edit: weird, isn't it... I'm a child of the Metric System... I don't understand Imperial units, and I don't want to. But in the UK we still measure physical attributes (fnarr!) in Imperial... height in feet & inches, weight in stones (14 lbs) and pounds)]

    Hehe...

For us 6'+ers, Christmas is the 'headbutting shiny decorations' time of year! There's a decoration at work I can rest on my head and I look amazingly like Ziggy Stardust-era David Bowie :D

35 years 178 cm (that's 5'10" for those of you not understanding the metric system, and to lazy to use the converter widget/converter in calculator... ;)).

It has its good and bad points :)

    Constant ducking...

Having to stoop to join in with conversations amongst people below head-height. We should be genetically engineered to have ears on our chests :D

High centre of gravity. It's like a tree. Once we start toppling, there's not much that'll stop us, short of some fancy footwork.

Kissing. I've never been out with a girl close to my height. That'd be nice... to hug someone around the waist, instead of doing that elbows under the shoulders thing!

Paying adult fares: I've had to pay an adult fare for public transport since I was about 12. Very difficult to ask for a child fare when you're stooped in front of the bus driver.

    But there are benefits.... err....

.... hold on, they'll come to me ....

I can paint the ceilings of my house without a ladder... I can have shelves as high as I like... and you get that wierd experience of marking your height against a wall with your hand, standing back and going woah... that's all me!

Mind you, once you get above 6" 4' ish, there's a weird effect. The difference between 5" 10' and 6" doesn't seem that dramatic... but the difference between me at 6" 4' and Bubbasteve at 6' 6" looks immense! Like 'woah!'

Yep...I am the shortest MR member (as of now)!

    Dum dum dum....
    I'm 5'1 and I'm 18 (I'm female, so yeah, I've stopped growing).

Don't say you're not wickedly jealous. Oh yeah.
