I've poked around and can't find exact instructions. I apologize for the simplicity of this question.

Once I have made a bootable partition on an external drive—how do I boot from it?

How do I switch back to booting from the internal drive?

Thanks...sorry if there's another thread, I just couldn't find it.

You can boot normally from your internal HD.

Go to System Preferences > Startup Disk and select your external Firewire drive as the startup disk. :)
