How to empty the Trash with Keyboard Shortcuts

    Apple + Shift + Delete (Backspace)

    actually you are wrong...


    It is Shift, ⌘, Option, and Delete

    You're both right.....

    both will work to empty the trash....here's the difference:

    cmd + shift + delete will empty the trash, but will ask "ok" or "cancel"

    cmd + shift + option + delete will empty the trash without asking

    you can put the screen to sleep with Option + Shift + Eject...

    i just learned that this week so i though i'd share... :)

    Thanks Darkroom for sharing but on my MBP I found the sleep screen combo to be Control+Shift+Eject >.<

    Personally I have the Extra Scripts plug-in for QS, so I don't have to be in Finder...
