How to not auto update iphone

I just got my iPhone so I don't know this, but I only want my itunes to sync my music onto my iphone and not have it update my iphone. How do I turn off auto updates or is there none?

if you mean updates as in software, its not auto

yes, it gives u an option to download and install the update and u can deny
