one annoying thing about my ibook is that the eject key and the f12 key are the same. i have to hold down fn, then press f12 to activate dashboard. i have to do that with two hands, because fn and f12 are at opposite corners of the keyboard.

i found a workaround with this, by checking the "use the f1 -f12 keys to control software features" however, i use the volume and brightness keys a lot, so i crippled myself even more just to have a convenient benefit.

so, all i want to do is to swap only the f12 and eject keys around, having the eject key needing to hold down the fn key, and f12 dosen't need to hold down the fn key.

Just one solution- I bought an Apple USB keyboard, and set my ibook on a riser. It's a nice arrangement for $30 and solves the F12 key problem,,, unless you are using the ibook out and about.

So it solves the problem when you're at home, and for $30.
