I was wondering how well my MBP will run Final Cut Studio.
MBP Specs: 2Ghz, 1 gig RAM, 5400 RPM HD

iMovie is not powerful enough for what I want to do but I also don't want to spend all that money for Final Cut Studio if my computer is going to have a stroke trying to run it and I have not heard any word on when Final Cut Express will be made Universal

You'll be fine. Just get a FW HDD and store your media files on that, not on the internal HDD.

Ya I thought they had said pre MBP that they were not going to even offer FW 400 :(. That was a huge disapointment to me that MBPs don't have 800.
