HTTP Streams (.m3u8)

    Safari obeys the settings in Launch Services for Mac OS X to open things. Therefore, download the .m3u8 file to your computer, Get Info on it, tell Finder to always open it with QuickTime Player (X). Notice that all subsequent clicks on .m3u8 files in Safari open in the desired application. Be happy! :D

    Unfortunately, that doesn't work as QT X can't open the downloaded file:
    QT X needs the direct URL but Safari starts a download before attempting anything else.
