i gb ram for ibook g4 . , fr real??

    transintl is giving 1 gb sodimm ram for the g4 ibook...it says it would work...
    anyone here ever bought any ram from transintl... or more importantly exceeded the apple recommended ram limit???

    yeah it will work fine. I just droped by their store and bought a 512 chip a few days ago. Nice guys. They even installed it for me. The 1 GIG chip will work but it is still real expensive $400???
    Apple just doesn't list it as compatible cause it is a fairly new and non assesible chip

    seems kind of pointless right now at that price, if your willing to drop that much money into the ram, you could just as easily get a powerbook with all of its performence advantages.

    besides, 640MB of ram is still quite alot these days, especially for a consumer machine
