I just got my MacBook Air (literally half an hour ago), but the package is so friggin' beautiful, I'm afraid of opening the package. As I was walking around the mall, I guy just looked down at my bag with lust in his eyes; I felt kinda bad, but the moment is over. I'm happy. :D

    Congrats.

I just got one from the Apple store, and like you, it's sitting in the corner of my office unopened.

Yes, the box is beautiful. (I got the bag too and it was pretty amazing.)

I haven't opened it yet since I need to finish my work first. Otherwise, my tasks will never get done. :)

Seems like a waste to not open the box. But then again it's your $2k.

I open everything that has to do with electronics as soon as I can, especially mac stuff. I opened my MBP this past christmas while I was driving home just so I could make sure everything was in the box! Just open the box already!

Oh, enjoy your new mac! :D

Macs are great. Macs are fantastic. They are elegantly designed. Even sexy.
But it is still just a computer.

I still have the original $499 Mini (was actually $469 after a $30 Apple online store discount) NIB (New In Box)...

    I feel your pain.

It's hard - I did manage to get over opening the box for my iPhone.

NIB does make it worth more in the very long run:

I bought mine at noon today, and it's still in the office unopened. (And mine was the $3,200 model.

I wish I had opened it up to make sure it's not one of the wobbly models. I've had terrible bad luck with Apple quality, so I am now nervous.

I'll open it tomorrow. Fingers crossed...

Man, there's too much ingratitude going 'round this forum. I haven't even received mine yet, but the minute I do I'm gonna be all over it like it was made of gold.

So open the darn thing, or otherwise post it to me c/o- FedEx. :)

    Cheers.
