Ok so I bought a white 4gb nano and then they came out with the video ipod. The nano will be here tomarrow and it took steve jobs a decade to ship it to me. Now im trying to decide weher or not to send it back and get the video 30gig. Now I know everyone is gonna be like, "Rob, they ment for two different things..." Well I think my needs are right in the middle of the two. I workout and run alot and I bought the nano knowing that the ipods that were currently out were way too big, but now thats changed and the new ones might be reasonable for excersing. Also I have about 6gb of music and that is always growing. So I think im right on the cut line of which to get. What do you guys think? Should I send it back and wait a year for them to ship me a 30gig, by the time of which steve will have developed a new 30gig, or do I keep my nano and not be able to put all my music on it?

if you do a lot of running keep the nano. it will not skip becuase it doesn't have a hard drive.

well, unless you run for like 3 weeks straight (how long a 30gig would play without repeating a song), I would stick with the nano. You say your 6G music collection is growing, but how much of that is really workout music? I have a 60gig for general traveling when I'm not sure what I want to listen to, or really long road trips. I bought a shuffle for working out. I like that combo :)

They do not sell a 6GB iPod Nano. So if you have 6GB's of music and you want to take all of it with you, you are kind of stuck with getting the video ipod. Its also a good thought to think ahead, I used to have a 5 gig ipod and I never thought i would fill it up. Now ive almost filled a 20 gigger and still growing. If you get the 30 gig video then you most likely will have if for a long time as your library grows.

Yeah, we're just playing. I'd still keep it. The nano will probably last longer because hard drives and moving don't go well together. Flash is much better for portable storage. :)

How about getting a refurb 30GB or 60GB photo iPod (4th gen) and then getting a shuffle (and sell the nano)? That way you get more storage, but w/ the shuffle you'd have plenty of songs for working out/ exercising-- it's flash drive, easy and hardy...
