ok, so when I got my shiny new powermac, i guess i was a little distracted and I lost the software/system restore discs that came with it. a power outage or two later, it has started to behave slightly erratically. Today I looked for my discs, but all I could find were my ibooks (snow g3) discs. can I use those? is it possible to get system restores from apple? I'm willing to pay, but not too much please.
my powermac is the dual 2.0 ghz g5 with 512 mb of ram and os 10.4.1 (rev. a)

Duff-Man says...contact Apple. If you registered the hardware with them they will probably replace your restore disk for a nominal fee ($20 or so) to cover shipping/handling...just be nice but firm when talking to them. Your iMac disc is too old to use on the Powermac, and you shouldn't do that even if you could....oh yeah!
