I have used passwords for various sites and I need to find out what those passwords were. help.
You can view all of your saved passwords under the "Keychain Access" application, located in your Utilities folder.
Note that to actually view the passwords, you will have to enter the password for your computer.
how do i get there.

Macintosh HD>Applications>Utilties>Keychain Access.
Or Spotlight>'Keychain Access'>Keychain Access.
the password im looking for is for facebook how do i get that.
Sounds like you're trying to hack somebody else's account.
Generally, people who forget their own password will simply click the "forgot password" link and reset it. Beyond that, not all website passwords are stored in the Keychain, only the ones you tell it to or allow.
Beyond THAT, you'd need the admin password for the computer to even view the passwords stored in Keychain.
ok i have that, but it sounds like a lost cause. anymore advice anyone before i give up.
If it's really YOUR account, click the "forgot password" link
