You really trying to tell me you didn't "mug" yourself and claim they "got away" with one of those 17"ers?

    Very poor show that...:D

I managed to fit the 17 in the same bag as my old 15, no way I'd cross London with a 17 box with "mug me" written on it.

    You got some neck aintcha?

lol, my fave song this week (having bought it twice - individually, and as part of an album) is "Don't mug yerself" by The Streets. maybe it's a sign. :)

    Brilliant idea!

Brilliant idea! :D Perhaps evoluzione should have his brain checked for not doing that? :D Gutsy move, though. I would have been blubbering like a baby. ;)

How you manage that?? is it a Targus Tardis bag or what??

I was in UniQlo the other day.... (one because I need a new laptop bag, and two... I quite fancy a memeber of staff there... ;) ) But they don't really have anyting suitable for the 15" never mind the 17"....

But the eye candy was great..... ;)

I take my 15in powerbook to Uni in london at least once a week without problems and it is in a laptop bag with an Apple logo on it. But I would never take that many laptops, this thread could have so easily been 'I lost 3 powerbooks the other day'. But as long as you dont attract attention to yourself, it should be ok.

I know how he does it. He carries a .44 magnum in a shoulder holster in plain sight. Also wearing sunglasses.

I felt safe when riding the the NYC Subway during MWNY '02, took a trip to ground zero. How do you like the new system without coins?

It's a Kipling Hacker, got it in the US, although there's a distributor in the Kings Road. I've got a Brenthaven Pro17 Backpack now, it's the only one I could find specifically for the 17" AlBook, it's a good bag, but not as cool as the Hacker, I'm waiting for Kipling's new range, they do some cool stuff.

    Which member of staff?

heh, so i just took delivery of a third 17" this morning, i'm thinking i'll cab it back on tuesday morning....
i was planning to get a cab home last night, but i walked out of the office, on broadway and prince (one minute walk from Apple SoHo :) ) to find a load of firetrucks and NO sign of a cab anywhere, so i thought bugger it and walked down the stairs to the subway.

i wish i had a digital camera so i could take a pic of them all lined up in a row...
