If my iBook's out of its original 1 year warranty, can I still buy AppleCare? I can't tell. Cheers

Nope. Otherwise people would wait until something happened to their computer before buying it.

If you are just out of Apple's standard 1 year warranty, it would be worth a shot calling up Apple asking for Applecare. Sh*t happens and people forget to enroll before the expiration.
