W windowpain macrumors 6502a Apr 19, 2008 590 100 Japan Nov 30, 2008 #2 Will it boot from the DVD/CD? Does it make a 'bong' sound on startup? Pop it the OSX DVD that came with the ibook and hold 'c', when it loads access disk utility and check that the disk is ok. You may need to repair the disk.
