So yeah. I have a 20" Widescreen monitor en route. It has VGA inputs so I'm good there for connecting my iBook G4. When I hook my iBook G4 up to my 15" CRT and have the screen span hack enabled I can run at many resolutions higher than 1024 x 768 (the iBook's laptop screen resolution). I think I can even get 1600 x 1200 and such. So my question is... has anybody been able to get their iBook G4 to run at 1680 x 1050 using the screen span hack? I know that resolution doesn't show up on the list of resolutions but I didn't know if it would "appear" once it was hooked up to a widescreen display or if maybe there was some other app/driver to install to get this to work. I know OS X will run at 1680 x 1050 since that the max resolution of the 20" Apple Cinema Display. Just not sure if/how I can enable that on my iBook.
