Okay, a friend of mine owed me some money so he gave me an iBook G4 14" for some credit toward his debt(undisclosed amount) he said he did not know if it worked because he did not have the charger....so I found one for $20 and booted it up... Kernel Panic screen comes up ("You need to.. blah blah blah and in several languages so customer will figure out that they need to pay Apple some mo' money)...Ripped this lil puppy apart with a Torx screwdriver and discovered there is only Stock non-removable RAM and no upgrades...Put back together and it went back to Kernel Panic screen(thank god) and now I am here asking if anyone can help....did the reset-nvram thing in the firmware(?) screen and it re-booted as Kernel Panicked as it was before....Do I need new RAM? Any help?

P.S.- I also have no idea what model/year this was from to make things easier
