iBook repair program may yield surprise upgrades

    this actually isn't all that uncommon - for repairs and replacements under warranty, if the part needed isn't available due to supply shortages, or if it simply isn't available at all, it will often get replaced with the step-up option. Many users report that when they send in a powerbook with a failed 20 GB HD, the machine is returned with a 30 GB model in its place.

    It isn't always necessary, but it's nice when it happens.
