    I don't know how much cred the above site has in the rumor community, but they claim to have details on the upcoming Ibooks, supposedly already made and ready to ship by the end of this month. Airport extreme & USB 2.0. There is some dispute about the processor, they say high end will feature a 1ghz 750GX while to low end model will have a 900mhz 750FX. I would think they would stick to one or the other, 750GX effectively obsoletes the 750FX.

    750GX seems ready enough to me, I've seen numerous products available at this time that features the 750GX;

    I'd prefer they throw the 1.1ghz 750GX in the high-end Ibook.......it's not like 100mhz more is serious threat to the 12".

    yes it is.
    a G3 @ 1.1 will do alot of stuff faster than a G4 @ 1.0. Altivec will obviously be better on the G4 but alot of apps are not altivec optimised.

    CRAP. Better get this thing on eBay fast to maximise my "profit" (sinking it straight into a new powerbook).

    Sssshhh. Don't tell anyone the iBook will updated soon. :D

    Prediction: new iBooks and Panther on the same day...and the powerbooks on order will ship w/Panther pre-loaded (this explains the 10/3-10/10 delays).
    You heard it here first!

    (edit for ridiculous prediction)

    Maybe that also explains the iPod + Notebook educational promotions I've seen on the Apple Korea website. (They're for iBooks and "old" 12" PowerBooks as well as all types of iPods- both old and new.)
