I recently enabled iCloud just for my calendars on my Mini, iPhone and iPad.
Yesterday, iCal started triplicating alerts, but only on my Mini. iPhone and iPad still get single alert for events.

Mini iCal settings are the way they should be. Only iCloud calendars are checked, events set for single alert, default calendars are set separately on all three devices.

I did quite some research and somebody with a similar problem has mentioned that triplicating is due to iCloud syncing on three devices. But shouldn't there be triplicated alerts on all three instead of just Mini?

Does anybody have a solution to this?

I think I found the solution. :D

iCal (calendars showing on the left sidebar)-> right click on the iCloud calendar->get info-> uncheck "events affect availability"

Then I created a trial entry and worked like a charm, so far.

I thought this was only meant for email notifications about updated events from a shared calendar but seems to affect the alerts, too.
