I like and use iChat more regularly than AIM, but there are certain feature that AIM offers and uses that iChat doesn't cater to.

For example, i can't pull up a buddy's personal info like i can in aim. i can't see profiles in details of click on html links ppl have created in their profiles, nor can i create one myself? Why? is there anyway to include these features (or perseude apple to)

Excuse me, but if you can't see the profiles, how can you click on the links in profiles? You certainly should send feedback to Apple on what actually isn't available in iChat.

I'm able to do most everything in iChat that I can do in AIM, save creating/updating my own profile. iChat is less CPU-intensive since it's not downloading advertisements.
