Okay in my 25 years on a Mac, I've never encountered this...hopefully someone can help. We were moving files from one RAID to another today so we could recondition the drives and one folder disappeared. I'm not a newbie here. It literally disappeared. It had some pretty important files but they were from an inactive client and most are backed up in a variety of individual job folders so although it was a hassle, it wasn't a melt down scenario. Fast forward to just now.... one of our designers called me into the studio to show me that in his sidebar under the shared volumes, the RAID partition that the folder was on when it disappeared, is now flashing between the name of the volume and the folder that vanished! I've never seen this before. It is the first instance of a ghost in the machine I've ever seen! Has anyone ever experienced this? And if so then a) what's the fix?, and b) does it mean the folder is recoverable? Any insights would be greatly appreciated.
