Has anyone come across any innovative ways to market a website off-line ie using techniques that promote you to the public when they are not sat at their computers?

Bricks and mortar companies use stationary and handouts/flyers and all that jazz, many of which could be used, but are there any twists you have seen specific to promoting a web based entity? Someone said use postcards, which has more of an impact than business cards... Anything else stick in the memory?

We are a so-say humorous site, so there is plenty of scope for off the wall ideas to promote us!

    thanks

You could run naked through downtown with your url painted on your back.

    Works for Goldenpalace.com

I always liked the gimmee frisbee's. They are about 1.50 in bulk.

One recommendation is if you are going to do a publicity stunt then call up a TV station before hand and get them to cover it.

Thats a great idea. I'll give you a free t-shirt if you do it for us. Choose your downtown and we will make sure the TV people are there
