The East coast show is dead. NY was too expensive, Boston was too small of a show. They should just kill it outright. The glory days of Macworld are over.

I disagree, it is Apple and Steve Jobs loss not exhibiting at MacWorld Boston. Shame on them. The Hynes Convention Center is a good exhibition hall. I think that over time the convention will grow even without Apple. Looking forward to the show in July.

Something needs to be done, then. Macworld Boston this year was AWFUL. You could see the whole show in 15 minutes. I think Quark split a booth with HP. That was the biggest place. Adobe, Macromedia, none of the big guys were there. Even local guys, like Barebones Software, weren't showing. I bumped into the owner of Barebones Software when I was there and he laughed when I asked if BBEdit was being represented there.

My wife enjoyed MacWorld Boston. More than half of our time was at a conference, that is really our only chance to avail ourselves of such an opportunity. A great opportunity to network with other Mac people. I found the exhibits to be educational also. A way to find a lot of Mac stuff under one roof.
