On my new PowerBook I tried to make a DVD out of 60mins of home movies. After importing all my video from a DV camera and before using iDVD, I had 30GB of HD space left. While iDVD was encoding there was an error, and after there was only 4GB of space left! I tried doing Delete Encoded Assets and it didnt help much. I tried running a Find from the Finder for files over 100MB and all I found were the iMovie clips (inside the iMovie project folder). I desperately need to reclaim this huge amount of missing space. Thanks.

Open up the terminal and:

cd /private/tmp
open .

iDVD throws a fair amount of intermediate junk in there.
