If I were to rip a dvd on a powerbook with no dvd burner, is it then possible to burn it on a PC. Is iDVD projects readable on pc?

Should I be using other software to achive this?

(according to apple.com iDVD can save projects which can be burned later on a dvd burner equipped machine)

When you create a DVD in iDVD, you can export the finished project as an image (IMG).

Then, just burn that IMG to disk using any DVD burner, and voila!

I'm forced to do this every time, since my iBook doesn't have a SuperDrive.

If you are burning the IMG to disc in OS X, you want to use Disk Utility to do it; other software does it, but what options to do it correctly are unkown to me.

Yeah, when you burn the disc, just burn it as an image.

Each software will be different, so I don't know the exact method of doing that, but there is an option somewhere. (Like in Roxio, You go to File...New....Bootable Disc - or something similar).
