right before i got into computers big time, my main hobby was model boat building...using balsa wood and pine ranging from 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 feet in length

if i had never got that power tower clone in 1999, i would probably still have stayed strongly with model building

personally computers are not like a huge hobbie, i don't spend tons of time modding or buy all sorts of things, its a very passive hobby, i learn what i can. I use my computer as more of a tool to get what i need to done and my hobbies are built around that. for example i might use my computer to fool around in illustrator or photoshop or write music, but i don't necessarily consider that being a hobby of computer but of art and music. though i do like to keep up on whats current, thats my biggest specificly computer hobby, which is why i spend time here on macrumors, and also cause its such a great message board.

    Hmmm...

I wouldnt really have done anything different. I still play sports, and hang out with my friends. I think I would have practiced sports more.

I would still be into computers. I am a hybrid. I like all things computer related. I still like macs best, but I would be big into dell's if macs never came along.

Full time musician, without a doubt.

Before I became a geek, I played guitar 6 horus every day. I had no friends to speak of, either, so I just played and played and played. Then I started getting into computers, and at the same time got a girlfriend, and although I still play guitar, I don't play near as much as I did, and I can no longer play the stuff I used to play with ease. It's sad, really, because I was a lot better at guitar than I am with computers, but it's gotten to the point where I'll never be able to devote that kind of time to it again. Failing high school had it's perks...

i'd probably still be using the old Nikon 8008 ( i think) that's been passed on to a cousin and wouldn't be contemplating spending 2k+ on a DSLR set up.... haha

    Since I'm a programmer/graphic designer, I don't know.

I guess I would be an intepreter for several languages.

Just what I did, recording engineer/musician, Macs are inseperable from that profession, and even now I'm lecturing, all the studios run DP G4's and all the lecturers have converted to Ti PowerBooks.

Apples integration into my life has been almost complete, now if only they can find a way to teach Aikido to a G4...:D

If I didn't discover computers, I would still be slaving away in the factory, dying a slow painful death. Bored out of my skull, doing the same thing over and over.
