MacWorld ran some benchmarks on a 2.16Ghz Core 2 Duo iMac. They state that it took 52 seconds to render the Aged Film effect on a 1 minute movie in iMovie.

I'm not getting results this good. Seems like on my 2.16Ghz C2D it is taking closer to two minutes. I have tried with the video clip on my local HD and on a drive on my network. I've tried the test a few times.

Can some C2D iMac owners try this out?

    Here are the MacWorld results:

Can anyone with an Intel iMac help me here?

Open iMovie, take a 1 minute movie and apply the Aged Film effect. How long does it take to render the effect?

    Thanks.

Won't different video sources give you different render times?

I just finished an iMovie project, and while I didn't sample my render times, I don't remember anything taking much over a minute to render :) I am very pleased with it's performance. I am sure a Mac Pro is faster, but the software was generally faster than me on this project ;)
