Basically, my girlfriend has a 17" 1ghz iMac. I noticed a week or two ago that the screen's being a little dodgy. The top left corner (by the apple menu) appears to be unusually bright and then kinda dulls further down the menubar for an inch or two to the right causing a darker vertical band (about 2" wide) that goes down the screen. It's more obvious with darker background images.
Any idea what the problem could be and what may have caused it? Anyone had a similar problem? Any quick fixes we could try? Either way, it looks as though it's going back to apple for a while.
