iMac G3 350Mhz RAM Upgrades

    I'm setting up a friend who just needs a basic machine with a little iMac 350Mhz. I'm going to put OSX on it - I've seen it running fine on these machines once there's enough ram.

    As far as I can work out the standard ram for these things is PC100 SDRAM which is now studpidly expensive, I seem to remember PC133 and PC100 RAM were intercompatiable, a bit like underclocking, can I get away with a PC133 stick I've got lieing around instead?

    Also - according to a few sites these things max out at 512Mb RAM, can anyone confirm that?

    PC133 is ok with the 350MHz iMac (slot loader).

    PC133 works fine. Max in the slot loading iMacs is 1gb of RAM (2 x 512mb)
