Yesterday, our iMac G5 (built in isight) screwed up. The screen went grey, and said we needed to restart. So, we restarted it, and now all we get is a grey screen.

Has anyone encountered this problem before? If so, how is it fixed.

cheers,

My house!
Sounds like you had a stick of RAM go bad on you then. Most places will replace any faulty RAM for free as most RAM has a lifetime warranty on it. Bad RAM is one of the most common culprits of a kernel panic, which is what the gray screen telling you to restart is.

Kudos to you for finding it! :D
