i was playing around at the apple online store and noticed that it says it will take an estimated 1-2 days to ship. BUT... if you place an imac into your shopping cart and proceed to the checkout it tells you the estimated ship time is a week. i think this is some sort of idea... maybe? no?

I think a refresh of the iMac is inevitable anyway, it's been over 6 months.

I'm skeptical of these inventory-based rumors. Who knows what they really mean.
But an iMac update makes sense. They need to differentiate it more from the eMac if they hope to sell any.
It's a great product, but I'm a little afraid the iMac will go the way of the Cube, into the vague middle zone where no one wants to go.

Those inventory rumors were crap. I've kept an eye on several vendors supplies, and they have steadily decreased. The iMac actually had more severe supply problems than the PowerMacs.
