I'm looking for a program that will run on my ibook that I can use to edit, resize, and crop images. I also need to be able to start with a blank page and create collages, etc. using my images. Are there any mac programs on my computer already by any chance that will do this? I've tried iphoto, but i'm finding it very un-intuitive. I don't like how it stores my photos, and when I edit photos it only shows the edited version in the library, while I often need to see them side by side (which it also doesn't seem to do). Resizing doesn't seem to work in iphoto either. Any suggestions on how to make iphoto work better for what I'm doing or other software ideas would be appreciated. What I'm really looking for is something like Microsoft Picture it. That's what I use on my PC and I like the way it works. Please let me know!

You can try GraphicConverter, a classic stand-by for people who don't want to get Photoshop:

if you want to invest some more money, Photoshop Elements is golden (granted Photoshop is better, but it costs quite a bit).

This question has been asked and answered in one form or another for months. The answer is GraphicConverter. Apple bundles with with many new Macs. If it was not bundled with your computer, then you can download it here.

for the record, it's bundled with PowerMacs and PowerBooks.
