    Hi about half my contacts on Messages show up as numbers instead of their names. Its funny because when I type in their names it shows up, but once selected it switches to their number. Is this a bug? Or is there something I can fix?

    Thanks!

    iMessage was updated with the whole phone/apple ID merger in 10.8.2 and bugs were fixed in 10.8.3. Maybe something has gone wrong with one of the updates, which happened to me to with 10.8.2 and facebook sharing. Try to install the combo update directly from apple at: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1640?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US

    This will reinstall the changes from 10.8.0 to 10.8.3 without doing anything to your data. It fixed a whole lot of bugs for me at least, so give it a try.

    The prompt-for-password-despite-remembering-password-in-keychain bug survived 10.8.3... :rolleyes::rolleyes:

    And then there's the bug of messages showing out of order after waking up the computer from sleep, which happened to also survive in 10.8.3.
