Does anyone know how to add two different video tapes to make one project for DVD burning? I don't seem to be able to add a WWII army replication with a WWII War Bird Video to make one video to be burned on one DVD. Its not a length issue as both together are less than 40 minutes. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure from your description what's going wrong--are you getting an error, not being able to capture the video with iMovie, can't output it to iDVD, or something else?

Assuming that you're using an external analog-to-firewire passthrough box or a camera that can do that, here's the procedure you should be doing:

    1) Insert tape 1 into VCR. Press play, and make sure the video is going through your camera/box and showing up in iMovie when it's in capture mode. (If the video is already on a MiniDV tape, this is bascially the same--just make sure you can see the playing video from within iMovie.)

    2) Click capture, let it sit until it's captured everything you want on that tape.

    3) Repeat the same procedure on tape 2 with the same iMovie project.

    4) Go to edit mode in iMovie, trim any rough edges off the video clips and do any other editing you might want.

    5) Drag each clip, in order, into the iMovie timeline down at the bottom. There will probably be about 5 of them, since the time limit for an individual clip is about 9 1/2 minutes.

    6) Scan through the movie at the bottom to make sure everything is in the right order, then save your project.

    7) You should now just be able to click the "iDVD" button in iMovie, and it should fire up iDVD and put your project into it, at which point you can mess with the menus and burn.

Assuming this is similar to what you've tried, which step are you having problems with?
