What I am trying to pass is a iOS trailer.

Am I right in thinking that you've made an iMovie Project on an iPhone/iPad and you want to transfer that Project to your Mac, or vice versa?

I don't think that an iOS iMovie Project will import into OSX iMovie. Can you Export/Share as a Quicktime movie?

Any success? Is iMovie 11 incapable of importing iOS trailers?
